Decent Work for Refugees

Netherlands (Western Europe)

Lunchseminar with trade unionists from more than 20 countries

On World Day for Decent Work October 7 FNV and BWI organized a seminar in The Burcht, a historical trade union building in Amsterdam.
Decent Work for Refugees

Refugees from Syria, Eritrea, and other countries in war or under dictatorship are coming to the Netherlands looking for safety and a new life . How can these refugees be integrated into the Dutch labour market? What can trade unions do ? How can we prevent abuse and downward pressure on wages and labour conditions. We shared experience and best practice.
Coen van de Veer, member of FNV Board addressed the meeting
